YouTuber accused of ‘skinning, roasting and eating a dead dog’ in horror video
WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT: Moroccan influencer Ayoub Bn Nsns has been accused of eating a dead dog he found on the road, with animal rights campaigners branding the stunt “shocking”
A YouTuber has sparked fury after allegedly skinning, roasting and eating a dead dog in a sickening video that has triggered calls for a criminal investigation.
Moroccan influencer Ayoub Bn Nsns was slammed after footage appeared to show him handling a dog’s carcass, removing its skin, cooking it over a fire and presenting it as an Eid al-Adha sacrifice.
The clip quickly went viral, with animal rights campaigners branding it “shocking” and demanding authorities take action. According to Moroccan outlet Yabiladi, three animal welfare organisations filed a joint complaint to the Moroccan Royal Court, calling for an urgent investigation and appropriate legal measures.
Mohamed Amziane, president of the Al Rahma Animal Welfare Association, said the footage revealed “a dangerous level of detachment from human values”.
He also criticised any attempt to link the act to Eid al-Adha, saying the religious festival symbolises compassion, solidarity and respect rather than cruelty.
Amziane warned that violence towards animals could be a sign of broader violent tendencies, adding that the footage projected a negative image of society.
The original video now appears to have been taken down.
In its place, a much shorter clip has been uploaded showing only the YouTuber finding the dog on a roadside before displaying a lengthy statement denying he killed the animal.
In the message, translated from Moroccan Arabic, he says: “The dog that appeared in the video — I didn’t kill it. I found it dead on the side of the road after it was hit in a traffic accident.
“The video documents that I found it; I didn’t kill it, so stop saying that I did. Everything is documented and there’s proof.”
“That’s how my life has been since I started YouTube.
“Anyway, I’m sick. Everything feels easy to me now. In life, I’ve basically been dead for a long time already.
“Take care. When even your own brother, someone from your own country, wants you thrown in prison — after all the laughs and entertainment you gave him in your videos – what’s even left in life?
“We all make mistakes, but I’m shocked by all this hatred and bitterness.”
