Trump warns Iran he’s got missiles ‘locked and loaded’ if they try to assassinate him

Trump has sent a chilling warning to Iran over claims they plan to assassinate him – he told journalists ‘so far, I guess I’ve been a little bit lucky, but that maybe doesn’t last very long’

Donald Trump has issued a stark ultimatum to Iran should they try to assassinate him. The remarks from the US President emerged hours following the funeral of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, which witnessed open demands for his death.

However, Mr Trump has delivered a terrifying warning that thousands of missiles are “locked and loaded” and targeted at Iran, should the nation’s administration pursue its threat. He also claimed “orders have already been given” for the US military to “completely decimate” all regions of Iran over a one-year timeframe, which would be “subject to extension”.

He posted on Truth Social: “1000 Missiles are Locked and Loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands of more to immediately follow, should the Iranian Government act on its threat, pronounced in many corners of the Globe, to assassinate, or attempt to assassinate, the sitting President of the United States of America, in this case, ME!.

“Orders have already been given, and the U.S. Military is ready, willing, and able, for a one year period of time, subject to extension, to completely decimate and destroy all areas of Iran – PRAISE BE TO ALLAH! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

This follows Israel allegedly discovering intelligence that it claimed revealed an Iranian scheme to eliminate the US President. It shared the details with the US, according to sources familiar with the situation and reported by the Wall Street Journal.

Mr Trump also referenced threats against his life while addressing journalists in Turkey on Wednesday during the NATO summit, reports the Express.

He stated: “They want to take out the US leader – me. I’m on every list. I saw this morning, I’m on every single one of their lists. And so far, I guess I’ve been a little bit lucky, but that maybe doesn’t last very long.”

The next day, Iranians grieved for Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and called for Mr Trump’s death, with some displaying a banner that declared “We Will Kill Trump.”

Washington and Tehran had been pursuing a durable peace accord, restoring international commerce through the vital Strait of Hormuz and attempting to resolve an ongoing disagreement over Iran’s nuclear programme.

However, Mr Trump declared the ceasefire is “over” at the NATO summit in Turkey. He informed reporters: “I don’t want to deal with them anymore. They’re scum.”
