Fans of the French electronic duo have waited years for something like this. On October 22, 2026, the LEGO Group and Daft Punk announced a new partnership that brings the robots into the brick universe, and the first concrete step is an official set recreating the glowing pyramid stage from the 2007 Alive tour.

The stage design has long been connected with the duo. Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo played within this gigantic luminous pyramid during the Alive 2007 tour, a display that has become synonymous with the tour and the electronic music scene in general. A Luxembourg resident and his son submitted the concept to LEGO via the Ideas program a few years ago. Patrick Harboun and his son Sol made the model during lockdown, combining their passion of music with their love of handcrafting. He described it as a very creative method for them to escape into something new, and it all started with listening to Homework on a Walkman and his son’s early appreciation of songs like Get Lucky.

They won first place in the 2020 Music to Our Ears LEGO Ideas competition. They also received the 10,000 supporter votes required to move ahead on the platform. For a while, it just sat in the “Parking Lot,” as LEGO Ideas describes it, which is essentially a waiting room for concepts that require a little more time to be reviewed. However, things are now moving forward; LEGO designers are attempting to make the fan concept into a retail kit. They emphasize that what you see now is really a fan-made rendition of the model, not the final product that will hit the shops.

Initial build specifications suggested a 2000-piece build, but this was not a simple one to do, as achieving the triangle geometry using normal bricks proved to be extremely difficult. The fan-made item design some pretty nice features, such as translucent sections for lighting effects, a spinning bit inside the pyramid that was powered by a motor, some lighting rigs, and, of course, minifigures of the two performers all dressed up. The translation will require some additional adjustments. We still have no idea of the piece count or price (though we’re promised to expect more specifics in 2027), but it’s looking like that’s when it eventually hits the shelves.

Cédric Hervet, creative director for Daft Punk, noted that the pyramid stage has always been a clear expression of the duo’s visual world, which makes the fan design a fitting centerpiece for the collaboration. Julia Goldin, chief product and marketing officer at the LEGO Group, pointed to the shared ability of both brands to connect with people across generations through building and music. Harboun himself called the outcome a reminder of what the Ideas community can do when a simple shared project gains support.
