Jensen Huang’s Signed Tom Ford Leather Jacket Heads to Auction

Jensen Huang has relied on one outfit for more than a decade when he steps in front of crowds. The black leather jacket, dark shirt, and jeans combination became his regular choice for product launches, developer conferences, and announcements that shaped NVIDIA’s path.
This Tom Ford jacket has been expertly crafted with the brand’s signature attention to detail, with a super-soft supple leather, standard collar, front zipper, chest flap pockets, and lower zip pockets. Years of travel and performances have truly broken this jacket in, as it now has all of the natural creases and scuffs that come with a full existence.

Auction house specialists did not rely just on the Tom Ford signature to confirm its history. Instead, they focused on the jacket’s distinct scuffs and flaws, particularly a series of wrinkles on the right chest pocket flap that matched images of Huang at the Hon Hai Tech Day event in Taipei on October 18, 2023. Professional Sports Authenticator confirmed this with a photomatch, and James Spence authenticity provided a separate letter of authenticity for the signature inside the jacket.

Huang wore similar jackets to many of his high-profile events in 2023, including several keynotes at Computex in Taipei. However, this jacket has a verified connection to only one of those days. The wear patterns on this one are fully compatible with regular use, since it is evident that it has been worn several times rather than languishing in storage somewhere.

Sotheby’s is auctioning this jacket as part of its “The CEO’s Uniform” sale. Bids are expected to range between $40,000 and $60,000; the auction begins on July 7th, 2026 and ends on the 17th. If you want to have a closer look at the jacket, you may see it in person in New York before the auction ends on the 16th.

Long Journey Ventures is behind the sale, and it’s all for a good cause: 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Edge Institute, a charity that connects people from technology, science, culture, and society together. They will use the monies to support fellowships, grants, and residencies for young people working at the cutting edge of technology and innovation.
