Dusseldorf tram horror as 27 people injured after two crash into each other

A major incident has prompted a huge emergency services response in Düsseldorf, Germany, after two trams suddenly collided, leaving 27 people injured and requiring medical treatment

Two trams have collided in a horror crash that has resulted in dozens of people being injured in a major German city.

Local reports say 27 people were injured after two trams crashed in Düsseldorf. Five of them reportedly suffered serious injuries during the incident today (May 23).

According to officials, fire crews also treated an additional 28 people, but these were reportedly suffered minor injuries.

The two trams collided head-on at the corner of Berliner Allee and Graf-Adolf-Straße. The reason for the crash currently remains unclear.
