England fans claim Keir Starmer’s a ‘w*****’ in anti-PM chant
England fans were in full voice during the World Cup warm-up match against Costa Rica, with thousands of supporters chanting anti-Prime Minister Keir Starmer songs
England secured a comfortable 3-0 triumph over Costa Rica in their final World Cup warm-up on Thursday night, but it was the Three Lions supporters who also captured headlines.
Thomas Tuchel’s men delivered a polished performance, seeing off their Central American rivals courtesy of strikes from Ollie Watkins, Anthony Gordon, and Declan Rice. Yet as the drama played out on the field, thousands of supporters inside the ground could be heard belting out a rude chant.
Loud and clear, “Keir Starmer’s a w*****” could be heard, to the melody of The White Stripes’ Seven Nation Army. The anti-Prime Minister anthem has become an increasingly regular fixture at England fixtures in recent months.

Neither the Football Association nor Downing Street have offered comment on it, reports the Express.
It followed the final warm-up clash being postponed by an hour due to severe weather conditions in Orlando, Florida.
Torrential downpours and lightning strikes in the vicinity activated local safety measures, compelling spectators to seek cover and pushing kick-off back from 4pm local time (9pm BST) to 5pm local time (10pm BST).
According to US regulations, matches cannot commence while lightning is detected within a specified distance of the venue.
It emerged as England continued building momentum under Tuchel, who is targeting guiding the Three Lions to World Cup success in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The tournament officially kicks off on Thursday when co-hosts Mexico face South Africa. England’s opening encounter against Croatia takes place on Wednesday, 17 June at 9pm.
