Fitness influencer and looksmaxxer Connor Murphy ‘drowns in Thailand’ after ‘trashing home’

US fitness influencer, Connor Michael Murphy – who had nearly 3m social media followers – has reportedly drowned in a lake in Bang Phli, Thailand, after allegedly behaving erratically

A US fitness influencer has tragically drowned after allegedly causing damage to his luxury rental home and then jumping into a lake. Police were summoned to an upscale residential estate in Bang Phli, Thailand, around 3pm yesterday (July 7) following reports of a man acting bizarrely before entering the water.

Divers located the body of American citizen Connor Michael Murphy approximately 20m from the shore after a search lasting half an hour, as per local news outlets.

There were no indications of assault on the 32-year-old looksmaxxer’s body, which has been sent for post-mortem examination. His death is currently suspected to be a result of drowning.

Just prior to this, Connor had reportedly returned to the estate by taxi, behaving in an unusual manner, according to a security guard at the site.

The guard reported that he began yelling, rolling about on the road and raising his hands as if in prayer. He then allegedly sprinted into the estate, dove into the 10-metre-deep lake, swam until he became fatigued and vanished beneath the surface.

Onlookers did not enter the water due to its depth, as reported by NeedToKnow. Connor and his girlfriend had reportedly been in a relationship for roughly three years.

Despite previously living separately, they had moved into the 22m THB (£493,000) rental property together about three months prior.

The 22-year-old reportedly stated it was the first time Connor had acted in such a way and she was clueless as to what could have sparked the incident.

She claimed it started the night before when he allegedly threw paint all over their rental property while she slept.

Officers are said to have discovered two unused syringes on the driver’s seat of Connor’s vehicle and several unidentified white pills in his waist bag.

His girlfriend stated she had never witnessed him using drugs. The property owner was reportedly left stunned after discovering paint splashed across the accommodation, including on furnishings and electrical equipment.

Connor had built up nearly three million followers and subscribers on his social media channels, where he posted comedy, bodybuilding, fitness and philosophy material.
