DREO Portable Space Heater Delivers Steady Quiet Heat During Colder Months

Colder weather means more time indoors, and a compact heater that starts working quickly becomes useful for rooms that never quite warm up from the main system. DREO’s portable electric model, priced at $35.99 (was $40), uses a 1500-watt ceramic heating element paired with a funnel design that sends warm air farther than basic units, reaching comfortable levels in seconds rather than minutes. Users set a target between 41 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit in one-degree steps, and the unit cycles on and off to hold that level without constant adjustment.

Safety features address some of the most common worries consumers have regarding portable heaters. A much improved tip-over sensor kicks the unit in the bucket if it is knocked over, and flame-retardant materials are designed to withstand the high heat, as well as overheat protection and a safety plug – all of this is supported by ETL certification, which proves that it meets the proper standards. This safety item allows you to operate the heater in a bedroom overnight or turn it on in an office during the day without having to worry about accidents.

Another advantage is its low noise level, which makes it ideal for evenings. With a brushless motor and a compact fan design, those winglet things maintain noise levels at a very acceptable 34 dB. So it’s rather peaceful, and you can read or binge-watch your favorite show without getting irritated by the background noise. Then there’s the electricity heat mode, which gives it full beans for quick heating, the ECO mode, which automatically adjusts to keep the temperature consistent without wasting electricity, and even a fan-only setting, which simply blows air to get things moving when needed.

In terms of convenience, it mostly determines how people walk around the house on a cold day. You have a built-in handle, so you can just pick it up and transfer it from the living room to a workstation or bedroom, and the remote lets you switch things around without having to get up and retrieve it.The 12 hour timer allows you to configure it to turn off automatically after a defined length of time, and the child lock and memory for last-used settings prevent your children from fiddling with it or having to reset it every time you turn it on. Over 20,000 people have used it and given it a respectable 4.6 stars, so it’s fair to say it can manage the daily demands of fall and winter without you having to babysit it all day.
