Hyundai Elantra N Monochrome Edition Offers Stealthy Looks and Full Pace

Hyundai Elantra N Monochrome Edition Reveal
Hyundai pulled the covers off the Elantra N Monochrome on October 19, 2026, as a special edition built for people who want the car’s full performance without drawing extra eyes on the road. Company planners developed it after hearing from owners who liked the driving experience but preferred fewer bright accents in daily use.

Body panels and accent parts are painted completely black, with the dominating colors being Abyss Black Pearl or Performance Blue. Instead of the traditional bright red highlights on bumpers, side sills, calipers, and diffusers, black or body-colored elements fill the voids. New forged wheels, this time in black, sit at each corner, and the highest trim level includes carbon-fiber mirror covers as well as a reworked carbon rear spoiler, which sits somewhat lower than the one on the TCR Edition. Overall, this helps the sedan retain the appearance of a N model while removing most of the outgoing showiness associated with prior N variants.

Hyundai Elantra N Monochrome Edition Interior
Inside, black Alcantara wraps around the seats, door panels, and armrests, and there’s a customized steering wheel with black buttons instead of the standard colored ones. Light blue stitching runs throughout the cabin and on the shift knob, creating a place that emphasizes grip and texture over large showy displays. The upper trim variant only adds exterior carbon pieces to the lower standard version, but all automobiles feature identical interior amenities.

The engine stays untouched, with the same turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder producing 276 horsepower and 289 pound-feet of torque, with dual-clutch variants receiving an extra 10 horsepower for a very short burst via the N Grin Shift button. Power is still sent to the front wheels whether you go for the six-speed manual or the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic, and even if you go with the latter, you’ll get the electronic limited slip differential, adaptive suspension, and track-tuned brakes that make the normal Elantra N popular. The Elantra N offers all of the drive modes, launch control, and customizable exhaust that you would expect.

The new N model will go on sale in Korea in a few weeks, followed by Canada and Australia, but who knows what happens after that, as Hyundai has stated that more markets may follow. American purchasers will have to wait and see if it will be available here, but Hyundai has previously brought limited N models to the United States. This new all-black design appears to be the answer for many consumers who wanted the Elantra N but in a more understated manner while still retaining all of the driving features that made it so popular.
