Netflix reveal how much it will cost to watch Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua

Netflix subscribers will not have to dig deep to watch Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua when they finally meet in the ring in December.

The long-awaited showdown between the two giants of heavyweight boxing was officially confirmed on Wednesday.

Cardiff’s Principality Stadium will host the perhaps the most anticipated scrap in British boxing history just weeks before Christmas on 11 December.

The bout will broadcast by Netflix who have become a major player in the boxing market in recent years.

The streaming giant hosted Fury’s last fight against Arslanbek Makhmudov in April along with Joshua’s demolition job on Jake Paul last December.

Paul vs Mike Tyson and Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez vs Terence Crawford were also Netflix fights, along with the trilogy fight between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.

The biggest fights in boxing have been traditionally reserved for pay-per-view. But Netflix have confirmed Fury vs Joshua will be streamed live at ‘no additional cost’ for its 325+ million members.

Netflix subscriptions in the UK increased earlier this month with a standard with adds account now priced at £7:99. A Premium account is now set at £20:99.  

The statement officially confirming the date and location of the fight namechecked boxing shot caller Turki Alalshikh, The Ring and Dana White, but not Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn, the respective long-time promoters of Fury and Joshua.

The undercard for the night is also still in the works although reports suggest there could be some huge names involved.

Boxing Scene report talks are underway for Manny Pacquiao to return to the ring again to take one of the true superstars of US boxing in Shakur Stevenson.

The streaming giant are thought to be pushing hard for another huge fight to be added to the bill in Wales.

Eight-weight world champion Pacquiao retired from boxing following a punishing defeat to Yordenis Ugas in 2021.

After a four-year hiatus, he returned to the ring last summer at the age of 46 to challenge Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight title in a bout that ended in a draw.
