Ganderkesee plane crash as aircraft smashes into family home leaving one dead

At least one person has died after a small plane crashed into a family home in Ganderkesee, Germany as Police are believed to be searching for another passenger

A horror incident has occurred in a German municipality this morning (July 25) after a plane crashed into a home. Emergency services descended on a street in Ganderkesee, Lower Saxony, to unbelievable scenes of a small plane sticking out of a residential property at around 11am.

According to police, one person has been killed in the disaster but it is currently unclear if it was the pilot of the aircraft or not.

Delmenhorst police said are searching for another person who was reportedly on board the plane, which is believed to have crashed into a property of a single family.

Thankfully the family who owns the home was not inside at the time of the crash. However, emergency services do fear over the property as reports it may collapse due to the structural damage.

Images and video from the scene show a large hole made by the plane as one of the wings torn off during impact with the property.

According to German publication Bild, the plane had taken off from Bremen before the horror crash.

Details about how the incident occurred are still unknown as investigations take place at the scene.

Police have been seen using drones to search the area due to structural concerns as it is believed their could be a second person who was onboard the aircraft.

According to reports, the plane is a four-seater light aircraft manufactured by Italian company Tecnam.
